Fox Sports has rolled out their first ad for the upcoming 2015 Women’s World Cup. The ad was seen during Sunday’s NFC title game between the Seattle Seahawks and the Green Bay Packers. While other campaigns around women’s soccer have focused on the relative anonymity of the team, Fox elected to highlight the team’s previous two titles and the fact a third may be in the cards.
The drastic change in tone between the 2007 campaign from Nike and the above spot from Fox is a testament to how much the women’s soccer landscape has evolved over the last eight years.
