New Zealand cricket commentator Ian Smith got a chance to do something not a lot of people have ever done before – announce a cricket ball putting a dent in his own car.
Jesse Ryder of the Otago Volts lifted a smashing six out of the park and as Smith followed the ball to the parking lot, it landed right on his rental car. What follows is a fantastic bit of on-air commentary about the perils of parking too close to the pitch and having a short walk to the commentator’s booth. But Smith holds out hope that it’s not his car because he thinks he may have parked closer to the hot dog stand. You’ve got to love everything about New Zealand cricket.
