Like Chris Fowler before him, Brent Musburger also had some words on Saturday for anyone accusing ESPN of having an SEC bias. He quickly slid this line into the Auburn-South Carolina broadcast on Saturday night…
While the SEC is certainly the best conference in the land, and has been for a while, that’s a different conversation than whether or not ESPN is biased towards the SEC. Furthermore, I’m not so sure you can take these words from the SEC NETWORK lead play by play man with anything more than a grain of salt. I’m not sure the voice of ESPN’s SEC Network saying “deal with it” is going to help convince anyone that ESPN is playing it down the middle in college football.
