Before Tuesday night’s Reds-Cardinals game in St. Louis, Bob Costas threw out the first pitch. His first attempt at least made it to the general area around home plate, but it sailed wide.
Then, Costas did something unprecedented – he demanded a SECOND first pitch, as the MLB Tonight studio crew got on his case. His second attempt was *much* better, but I wonder if A.J. Pierzynski (who caught his pitches) got on his case for breaking the unwritten rules (or whatever) and demanding a second.
