National Championship - Oregon v Ohio State

Columbus, Ohio is still in a euphoric daze after the Ohio State Buckeyes won the National Championship over Oregon last night.  Much like their 2002 title, there was a team of destiny feel around this year’s Buckeyes with third string starting quarterback Cardale Jones coming off the bench and going a perfect 3 for 3 in trophy games to lead his school all the way to the promised land.

But the Buckeyes were about much more than their quarterbacks, although Braxton Miller, J.T. Barrett, and Jones represent one of the most remarkable stories in college football.  Running back Ezekiel Elliott became a breakout star with a series of record breaking performances, a young offensive line dominated, and Luke Fickell and the defense rebounded after some tough years with a signature performance.  It was a true team victory and one that might change the college football landscape as much as OSU’s 2006 loss to Florida did to launch the era of SEC domination.

One of the highlights of a championship is hearing the highlights through the local radio teams.  And courtesy of IMG College Audio, we have the audio highlights from the Ohio State crew of Paul Keels and Jim Lachey.  It’s a soundtrack that will be heard in Columbus for many years to come.
