It appears the long-standing dispute between AT&T U-Verse and Fox Sports 1 has finally come to a conclusion. On the first day of US Open coverage (funny how these agreements seem to come about just in time for major events), U-Verse sent out this tweet proclaiming the return of Fox Sports 1 premier sports programming.

It was a very unique controversy between the two parties as AT&T carried FS1, but did not air its top level live sporting events, presumably because Fox wanted more money from carriers for the more expensive programming. So instead of live soccer or racing, fans often saw darts replays. We’ll await further confirmation, but hopefully this means fans are no longer stuck in the middle between provider and network.
