This is one of the reasons why we miss Brent Musburger on the main ESPN college football game. Late in the action during Monday’s Oklahoma-Iowa State game, a gambling reference made its way into the discussion between Brent and his partner, Fran Fraschilla. With 31.9 seconds left and the Cyclones up by six, there was an out-of-bounds call that led Fraschilla to say, “I know you don’t want them to review that call, do you?”
After a burst of laughter Musburger replied, “I don’t know what you’re talking about (chuckle, chuckle)…. Yes, I do and no I don’t.”
It was classic Brent. Nice to see that he still can work in gambling every so often.
