After a similar deal with ESPN this week, the NFL now has equity in two of its broadcast partners ahead of TV rights talks in 2029.
The deal had been in regulatory limbo for months amid a lawsuit by the Trump administration.
"We have a two-year period to make that decision. I don't see that happening, but we have that option and that's something we'll take a look at."
Post-merger, CBS Sports is looking to be more active in live sports acquisition.

The NFL has preexisting relationships with Skydance, Paramount and RedBird, making an expanded relationship potentially more natural than an equity deal with Disney.
