Having "We actually screwed that up" make it to a broadcast right after a replay review explanation was not exactly ideal.

Last summer, the NFL reportedly "specifically steered ESPN to hire Triplette" as a Monday Night Football rules analyst. Now, John Parry will be ESPN's rules analyst on MNF and beyond.
Steratore worked 15 seasons as an NFL ref and officiated this year's Super Bowl, while McAulay called three Super Bowls in 20 years as a NFL ref.
