Fred Toucher celebrates ‘backstabber’ Rich Shertenlieb’s firing: ‘Don’t be a snake’
"I’m not surprised and I’m very happy because I feel like he’s a backstabber and does not tell the truth."
"I’m not surprised and I’m very happy because I feel like he’s a backstabber and does not tell the truth."
"Rich Shertenlieb is a radio producer, he shouldn’t be on the air, he’s a bits guy."
Longtime Boston sports radio personality Rich Shertenlieb is making his return to the airwaves after a high profile breakup with Fred Toucher.
"As soon as I found out there might be a problem with Rich…I had one name in mind."
Rich Shertenlieb's sudden departure from the highly successful morning show is playing out in an entirely different media environment.
After a tumultuous year, Boston's top sports radio show Toucher and Rich came to an abrupt end on Friday.
The current tension continues what has been a strange year for The Sports Hub’s longtime morning show.
"I was like, 'All right, I've lost control, I've lost control of alcohol, I've lost control, I'm not thinking like me, I need to make sure that I'm in a position where I do not have the opportunity to drink.'"
"I don't know exactly when he'll be back, but I've been a friend of Fred's for years and I hope the best for him."
Toucher is back on the air, but Shertenlieb is curiously absent.
"I think that if I go to the doctor on Monday, he is going to give me permission to go back on the air."
"Not to sound dramatic, but it is possible a listener saved my life by setting up that appointment."
"If you’re ever negotiating a contract and have anything going on remotely sketchy, they will use that against you."
"I mean, it has occurred to me. Is my career over if I continue to talk like this?"
"I had to be operated on within 48 hours, or I could’ve lost my eyesight forever."
