NPR's tweet of "A German coach was booted from the Tokyo Olympics after she lightly punched a reluctant horse that was refusing to ride during the equestrian portion of the modern pentathlon" took a lot of criticism, much more than other media outlets covering the story got.
This was a notable miss by NPR.

NPR's David Folkenflik reported Tuesday that contrary to statements from Houston Astros' assistant GM Brandon Taubman and from the team, Taubman was targeting a specific female reporter who'd tweeted about domestic violence.
