According to Tom Pelissero, Matt Ryan intends to be "all-in" on his orle with the Falcons.
It would mark yet another conflict of interest in the highest levels of NFL broadcasting.
The role will have final say in the Falcons' football operations.
For Ryan, it would mean leaving CBS Sports after just two years.
