Murdoch told Axios' Sara Fischer Fox plans to keep building up USFL teams and eventually sell them to local owners down the road.
Fox CEO Lachlan Murdoch announced on an earnings call Wednesday that his company has bought Clay Travis' OutKick site. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Fox currently pays around $1.08 billion annually for its Sunday NFL package. A new Bloomberg report suggests that figure might almost double in the next rights deal.
