The conclusion of ESPN's Saturday report came true, but not the "is retiring" tense. Was Brady set to retire and then pulled back after that report, even lying about not making a decision yet on air Monday, or was the initial report not quite right? Both scenarios are possible.
"We're in such an era of information and people want to be in front of the news often."
The report may be proven correct eventually but the lack of clarity and nuance is making it hard for audiences to discern the truth.
