Drew Brees warns Tom Brady: Broadcasting ‘takes more time than you think’
"I’m not sure exactly what Tom is signed up to do, I know what’s been announced. But it is definitely a commitment"

Thursday night may have been Drew Brees’ best possible audition for his next opportunity in the media.
"If you want to be great at anything, you have to work at it...It doesn’t happen overnight."
Drew Brees and Pat McAfee are in the Amazon rumor mill as the company considers possible Thursday Night Football alternate broadcasts.
Drew Brees wasn't great, but not every potential broadcaster is.
“The unbelievable busyness of an NFL career and then really not taking a break at all and launching right in with us with both Notre Dame football and the NFL, it was certainly an around-the-clock assignment. This was definitely a lifestyle choice for him, which is totally understandable.”
With Brees likely leaving, NBC has a hole to fill on Notre Dame games and their #2 NFL crew.
"Is Drew Brees dying next year?"
"[Game] broadcasting, to me, is kind of like playing the game. Which is a lot of fun."
Marchand reported recently that Fox might be interested in Brees as an NFL analyst.
Considering the situation at NBC, if Brees wants regular NFL game duties he'll probably have to look elsewhere. Could that be right now, at Fox?
"He'll learn in time...but, unfortunately, you get judged early and then you get tagged with that."
Would Brees have backed up Ian Book?
