It sounds like Brees has spent the last three years studying what went wrong at NBC.
Adam Amin had himself a game Sunday calling the Panthers' wild 31-28 upset of the Rams.
Brees claimed he would be a top-three NFL broadcaster upon his return to the booth. Is he?
"I'd warn him of all the mistakes I made in my first year, but we'd be here for an hour."
Brees was initially announced for the Netflix gig in September.

The former New Orleans Saints quarterback will appear every Tuesday throughout the NFL season.

Drew Brees continues his broadcasting comeback by appearing with the NFL on Fox studio crew this week on multiple shows.
The Eagles are back, along with some new names in the analyst seats.
"And then you give me a few years, I could be the best."
Brees is the first known hire as Netflix attempts to fill out "NFL Christmas GameDay 2025."
"Drew Brees not being on this list is criminal."
In a The Late Show with Stephen Colbert appearance, Brees made further comments contradicting a claim Nick Saban advanced this week.
