The Rodriguez-Kay alternate feed will only be for eight of ESPN's 25 Sunday Night Baseball games this season.
David Cone, Eduardo Pérez, and Karl Ravech will make up the regular ESPN Sunday Night broadcast, while Kay and A-Rod will do an alternate format.
As per Andrew Marchand of The New York Post, Rodriguez might move to an alternate broadcast, leaving a potential main Sunday Night Baseball booth of Karl Ravech, David Cone, and Eduardo Pérez.

This report raises bigger questions about why ESPN is annoyed that an analyst for them didn't leak a story that was well outside his job description to their reporters, and why their applied pressure has led to at least one senior member of Rodriguez's team saying he wants to give them a story.
ESPN now appears to be concerned about Sunday Night Baseball conflicts of interest, a change from some of their past moves.
