Rebecca Lowe is collecting major broadcasting assignments like they are infinity stones.
The popular NBC Sports host has been a fixture on American television for years anchoring English Premier League coverage for the network. She has also shined as an Olympics host for the last several cycles.
This year, she had the opportunity to host men’s World Cup coverage in a unique deal that allowed her to work for Fox Sports for the summer. Lowe was the top studio host for Fox alongside Thierry Henry, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and Alexi Lalas. While much of the attention was on the banter between Ibra and Lalas, Lowe was praised for her work and lifting the overall presentation.
So with the World Cup shifting to the women’s game for 2027 and making the move to Netflix, it only makes sense that Rebecca Lowe would stay along for the ride.
On Thursday, Netflix announced that it had hired Lowe for next summer’s tournament in Brazil.
BREAKING @paulsen_smw: @netflix CCO Bela Bajaria announces at Puck & MoffettNathanson’s “In The Arena” that Rebecca Lowe will join the company’s broadcast team for the @FIFAWWC.

Rebecca Lowe is the second major addition to Netflix’s 2027 Women’s World Cup coverage after Spanish-language announcer Andres Cantor was announced earlier this fall.
The signing of Lowe is a message to soccer fans that Netflix is going to go for the best of the very best when it comes to their debut coverage of the Women’s World Cup. We know how seriously soccer fans take their international coverage and it’s a huge test for Netflix given they’ve never made this kind of commitment before. We’ve seen the streaming giant do one-offs when it comes to NFL games, MLB contests, or major boxing fights. But a month-long major tournament is another entity altogether.
At least with Rebecca Lowe on board, Netflix will have the steadiest of hands guiding the ship.
