Landon Donovan and Tim Howard, two of the most prominent voices in U.S. soccer media, are joining forces for a new podcast.
Sinclair Broadcast Group has launched the new podcast, Unfiltered Soccer with Landon Donovan and Tim Howard, set to debut Nov. 12.
The two former U.S. Men’s National Team stars are familiar faces to fans today. Howard works as an analyst for NBC’s Premier League broadcasts, while Donovan serves as commentator for Fox Sports. Donovan is still active on the competition side as well, serving as interim head coach for the NWSL’s San Diego Wave.
The podcast’s topics will include Premier League, MLS and U.S. national teams coverage as well as youth soccer issues.
Donovan shared the news on his X account Wednesday, writing: “So excited to spend every Tuesday with the absolute GOAT @TimHowardGK and bring you guys insight, analysis and stories from the world of soccer and beyond!”

“I’ve had other people approach me multiple times about podcasts, and it just didn’t feel right,” Donovan said (via the Sports Business Journal). “There’s lots of people who have done or can do a podcast, but they don’t have the experience, the insight, the relationships that we have and the things that we can share, and so that’s what makes it unique.”
It’s the third podcast for Sinclair, joining The Triple Option college football podcast and the sports/lifestyle podcast Throwbacks.
“When we look at Sinclair from a broad perspective, it’s top of the class when it comes to this space and how we feel our show is going to be marketed, how it’s going to be produced,” Howard said (via SBJ). “We’re talking about the best of the best.”
