After a five-year run on AM 790 KABC, USC Trojans football and basketball will be making its return to ESPN Los Angeles 710.

The school announced the news Monday afternoon in a press release and also shared the news on X.

USC football first started airing on ESPN LA in 2006 before signing a five-year contract with KABC.

The return comes at an exciting time for the Trojans football team, who will be playing their first season in the Big Ten. Additionally, the men’s basketball team will be playing their first season under new head coach Eric Musselman, and for the first time, the women’s basketball games will be on radio, as 2024 First Team All-American guard JuJu Watkins will look to build upon a tremendous freshman season that saw the team make the Elite Eight for the first time since 1994.

“We’re excited to collaborate with ESPN LA 710 AM to advance the USC Athletics brand and connect with fans across the Greater Los Angeles media market,” USC Athletic Director Jen Cohen said in a statement. “As we move into a new era of Trojan Athletics, identifying partners who can help us provide our student-athletes with the platform to make their mark on collegiate athletics and reach new generations of supporters is critical. From the addition of play-by-play coverage for our women’s basketball program and Spanish-language coverage for football to the reach and brand equity established by ESPN Radio in Los Angeles, we’re confident this partnership will help us achieve our goals.”
