Radio producer caught wrestling something in his pants

Longtime Sports Junkies producer Matt “Valdez” Myers usually takes care of The Junks behind the scenes, but every so often, he shows off his legwork.

106.7 The Fan’s morning show is simulcast on NBC Sports Washington, but they’re very much still a radio show that prioritizes the radio audience and just happens to be on TV.

Last week, however, Valdez provided something that was exclusive for their TV audience.

During an interview with Paul Finebaum, Valdez could be seen circling in the background before landing in front of a TV camera, emphatically unzipping his pants, and urgently shoving his entire arm right through the opening. What ensued was some sort of digging usually reserved for the arm of a backhoe. For about 10 seconds, Valdez vigorously dug deeper and further into his pants, causing great alarm about what he might be holding if his arm ever makes it out of there.

If not for a conveniently placed computer screen, The Junkies would probably be facing some sort of FCC fine right now. But thanks to a heroic Dell monitor, the scene remained PG, with Valdez’s arm eventually retracting out of his pants before zipping back up.

Amazingly, it took nearly a week for this clip to get on social media and back to The Junkies. Valdez defended himself Thursday morning when it was brought to the radio show’s attention, saying, “don’t act like you’re above adjusting…it’s one of the most uncomfortable feelings in the world is when it’s riding up on you like that.”

No one is denying the need to make adjustments, but they don’t usually do it on camera. And if you are going to make an adjustment on camera, get in and get out.

The good news for Valdez is that he probably just earned himself a sponsorship from Gold Bond, Dude Wipes or Lotrimin. And hopefully the products get to him soon.
