If strengthening the glutes can make you run faster, throw harder and hit further, then Maggie Gray might have a groundbreaking idea.
Forget about steroids, HGH or any other PED professional athletes have previously tried to boost their strength and performance. The big butt trend is coming. Because this is what happens when someone nicknamed the “Big Dumper” is chasing a 60 home run season. We think everyone needs a bigger butt.

“Everyone knows in professional sports, especially baseball, a lot of your power comes from your posterior,” Gray said Wednesday morning on Infinity Sports Network. “The power is in the butt.”
With that fact stated, Gray then asked if everyone has heard about the Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) trend for women.
“Has anyone ever thought to do some research to see if getting a BBL helps you in sports?” Gray asked. “If I’m an athlete and I don’t have a big enough butt, maybe I try to enhance it and then am I getting an extra five miles per hour on my fastball?”
Have you ever seen Jacob deGrom’s butt? No, because he doesn’t have one. But imagine if he did. Would deGrom be averaging 105mph on his fastball? And could a simple Brazilian Butt Lift be enough to get him there? Credit Gray for asking these questions when no one else is. But the obvious answer is no.
“Maggie, are you on drugs today?” co-host Andrew Perloff asked. “What is happening? Are you high as a kite? What is going on?”
A BBL injects fat into your butt. That’s not helping any athlete to get more power. The same way we don’t see athletes go on an all-peanut butter diet in hopes of getting more power from their butt, we won’t see the BBL trend making its way into the NBA, NFL or MLB. But you have to appreciate Gray for being the only radio host with this line of thinking.
