For Parker Kligerman and his fans, Friday night was a long one.
The CW Xfinity Series analyst raced in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series at Daytona on Friday night. Several trucks wrecked on the final lap but Kligerman stayed clear of that. He crossed the finish line with the checkered flag and yellow flag flying, apparently winning the race.

But it was not to be.
Late in the night, the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series shared on its official X (formerly Twitter) account that Kligerman had been disqualified. With that, Corey Heim, who crossed the finish line second, was named the winner.

“UPDATE: The No. 75 truck has been disqualified following post-race inspection at @DAYTONA for being too low in the rear,” the announcement said, referencing Kligerman’s truck. “@CoreyHeim_ has been declared the winner of tonight’s race.”

After thinking he’d won, an excited Kligerman proclaimed that it as “the biggest win of my entire life.”
Kligerman thought he had his first Xfinity Series win in last October’s race on the Charlotte Roval. NASCAR signaled a caution mere yards before Kligerman crossed the finish line to start the final lap, potentially winning the race if NASCAR flew a yellow flag. Instead, Kligerman finished fifth and was eventually eliminated from the Playoffs.
