Kylian Mbappé has the full attention of the international soccer world at the moment.
After six seasons with Paris Saint-Germain, the prolific French forward is expected to join Real Madrid in the upcoming transfer window, ushering in a new era for the five-tie Ligue 1 Player of the Year.
Mbappé was on hand for the 2024 Monaco Grand Prix on Sunday, and when Martin Brundle of Sky Sports tried to get a word with the 25-year-old star, it didn’t go so well.

Brundle approached Mbappé as he was making his entrance to the track and immediately, one of the members of Mbappé’s entourage got between the reporter and player to which Brundle replied “It’s alright mate, I’m in charge around here,” before starting to interview Mbappé, who didn’t seem thrilled to talk to Brundle, presumably about his upcoming move from PSG to Real Madrid or just about the race in general.
Eventually, Brundle did get a chance to chat with Mbappe, who made it very clear that he’s just here as a fan and wanted to watch and focus on the race and nothing else.

Kylian Mbappé: “No, no, I’m not faster than the cars! I just want to be here like a fan and enjoy the moment.” pic.twitter.com/ipjYpvh2cG

When Brundle is doing his pre-race grid walk you never know just who or what the interviewer will stumble across. Two years ago, he confused Paolo Banchero for Patrick Mahomes, for example.
