LeBron James has been set to star in Space Jam 2 for some time now, but we haven’t had official word as to which of his fellow basketball superstars would be joining him.

Now, thanks to Shams Charania on Twitter, we have a good idea, and the list will include LeBron’s newest teammate:

Obviously their roles are unclear, but it’s likely that some or all of Davis, Lillard, Thompson, Ogwumike, and Taurasi will have similar roles to Charles Barkley, Muggsy Bogues, Larry Johnson, Shawn Bradley, and Patrick Ewing in the original: having their basketball skills sapped by cartoon aliens. Unless, of course, this is some sort of gritty reboot, which seems highly unlikely. The kids want to see LeBron dunk and throw alley-oops to cartoon characters, and they want to see Klay airball a few threes, Dame Lillard lose his dribble over and over, and Anthony Davis, uh, walk into a low-hanging door frame or something.

That’s the good stuff.

Space Jam 2 is currently set for a July 2021 release date, if you want to plan accordingly.
