Will Ferrell appeared in the Fox Sports West booth for Thursday night’s Kings-Sharks to do some play-by-play as his Anchorman character, Ron Burgundy.

Ferrell —  a Kings fan — joined Alex Faust and Jim Fox in the booth dressed up as Ron Burgundy, and apologized for being late to “Stapless” Center, due to thinking the Kings still played at the Forum (the Kings’ home until 1999).

̶F̶e̶r̶r̶e̶l̶l̶ Burgundy called the second period of the game, and Fox Sports West had a box on the right side of the screen focused on him in the booth.

It didn’t take Burgundy long to trash the Sharks for having zero Stanley Cups.

“Take, that San Jose! Zero Stanley Cups! Zero Stanley Cups for the San Jose Sharks. They wouldn’t even know what the Stanley Cup looked like if it fell on their head.”

But a minute later, San Jose’s Tomas Hertl scored a goal.

“Well, that was not supposed to happen.”

Burgundy informed the viewers that Sharks goaltender Martin Jones “works with puppets” in the offseason, and we’ll just have to take his word for it.

Burgundy had a burrito and milk in the booth, because movie references.

And Burgundy showed off a goal call that he didn’t get to actually use for a Kings goal; they went scoreless in the period (but scored three goals in the third period and came away with a 4-2 victory).

“Shot on goal! He scores! Put that baby to bed without a diaper!”

This all comes after Snoop Dogg also did play-by-play — and it was amazing – for the Kings in January.
