Kim Kardashian Tom Brady Roast Credit: Netflix/Awful Announcing

Depending on where your allegiances lie, Kim Kardashian getting booed at Netflix’s The Roast of Tom Brady was one of the night’s standout moments. Either way, the comedy at Brady’s expense was enough for the first-year NFL on Fox announcer to vow never to participate in a roast again.

And he’s not alone.

Kardashian has now sworn off roasts entirely after the reception she received. During the live broadcast, she was loudly booed while attempting to deliver a toast to Brady as a surprise guest. Yet in the archived version, those jeers were seemingly edited out — a move that didn’t go unnoticed.

Normally, a few boos wouldn’t be enough to trigger a post-production overhaul, but that’s exactly what appeared to happen. TMZ Sports reported that Netflix removed the loud boos from Kardashian’s segment, sparking speculation that she or her team were involved in the decision.

However, Kardashian has since broken her silence, making it clear she had absolutely nothing to do with the edit. She explained that she wasn’t even supposed to stay for the entire event, needing to catch a flight, but ended up remaining in the audience for Netflix Is a Joke Fest in Inglewood, California, in order to prove a point.

“No, I could care less. Let me live my life. It happened. I don’t erase what happened. Listen, I’m the best sport, like — I can handle it,” she said on a recent episode of The Kardashians via Today.

That said, it’s safe to say she won’t be signing up for another roast anytime soon.

“My thoughts on the roast? I would never do a roast again. It’s not good for the soul,” she added.

Brady couldn’t win, either.

While The Roast of Tom Brady became Netflix’s most-watched comedy special of the first half of 2024, he wasn’t thrilled with how some of the jokes impacted his children.

Which is why he’s not doing another roast.

As for Kim K, she didn’t want to sit there and “literally be the victim,” but she quickly realized there was no winning over the crowd.

“I could have never imagined that I would be booed, but you can’t f*cking win,” Kardashian later said. “So it’s like, ‘Oh, football fans, oh sports fans, oh, they hate the Kardashians!'”
