With Election Day little more than two weeks away, presidential candidates Kamala Harris and Donald Trump are hitting the swing states hard. Trump was in Latrobe, Pennsylvania on Saturday, and during his speech, he brought up the name of legendary golfer, Latrobe’s own Arnold Palmer.
Candidates will often bring up the names of favored sons and daughters of a region while campaigning. So, mentioning Palmer was, no pun intended, par for the course. But the topic quickly strayed away from what might normally be heard during a presidential candidate’s campaign speech.
Trump brought up more than just Palmer’s name when talking to the crowd in Latrobe, indicating that Palmer might have been known as “The King” for more than just his prowess on the golf course.
“But Arnold Palmer was all man,” Trump said. “And I say that in all due respect to women — and I love women. But this guy, this guy, this is a guy that was all man. This man was strong and tough. And I refuse to say it, but when he took showers with the other pros, they came out of there, they said ‘Oh, my God. That’s unbelievable.'”

After chuckling briefly, Trump added, “I had to say it. I had to say it. We have women that are highly sophisticated here.”
If it’s all the same, we’re just going to take Trump’s word for it on this matter and not go too deep into fact-checking.
