This summer, Underdog shuttered its original content arm, which left Skip Bayless and Aqib Talib’s The Arena: Gridiron without a home less than a year into their podcasting partnership with Gilbert Arenas at Underdog.

Bayless and Talib are keeping Gridiron alive, however, and if the YouTube channel is any indication, they’ve gone independent.

“Breaking: GRIDIRON IS BACK,” Bayless tweeted Monday. “New YouTube channel, same fire. Please subscribe now to the best NFL show out there — most entertaining/enlightening, raw [and] real. I go at it with 1 of best CBs ever, Aqib Talib – Kinsey refereeing.”

Bayless, Talib, and the Gridiron Instagram page posted the official Season 2 trailer:

The 54-second compilation begins with a clip of Micah Parsons saying “f*ck Skip Bayless” on Open Thoughts in February. Bayless comes in hot, saying, “This Twitter ass motherf*cker. Let’s do it. Let’s go.”

Then, we see clips from the show.

Bayless, a lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan, says he doesn’t miss Parsons, whom the Cowboys traded to the Green Bay Packers in August 2025. Stephen A. Smith, Bayless’s former First Take sparring partner, stops by and says, “99% of the time, I am not going to agree with this man.” Talib claims he could have coached the Indiana Hoosiers to a national championship and tells Jay Gruden that his resume is vomit-inducing.

There are backflips, costumes, smoke, and of course, the hottest of takes. “Don’t Skip a Moment,” the trailer proclaims, which, alright, that’s clever.

Gridiron will officially return this Friday at 12:30 p.m. EST. Subsequent episodes will drop every Monday, Tuesday, and Friday.
