iHeartMedia on Monday announced the Women’s Sports Audio Network, a free, ad-supported slate of podcasts produced in partnership with Deep Blue Sports + Entertainment. The inaugural batch of shows is highlighted by Good Game with Sarah Spain and a lifestyle podcast from WNBA legend Sheryl Swoopes.
The WSAN plans to cover women’s professional hockey, golf, tennis, and volleyball, as well as multiple basketball shows.
Longtime WNBA insider Khristina Williams, pro hockey player Madison Packer, professional tennis player Rennae Stubbs, and professional golfer Tisha Alyn will also contribute to iHeart’s WSAN.
In addition to launching WSAN, iHeartMedia committed to regular women’s sports reports across its 500 radio stations in the United States. Spain appeared to confirm she would anchor those reports in a post on X.

In a press release announcing the podcast network, Spain hyped up the summer of pro women’s sports competition in the U.S. and at the Olympics in Paris.
“I’m looking forward to breaking it all down on ‘Good Game’ with elite athletes and expert voices across a range of sports,” Spain said. ‘Whether we’re spilling tea or talking ‘Ts’, we’re gonna give fans both loyal and new everything they need to keep up with the wild world of women’s sports.”
The WSAN roster is flush with popular digital hosts across women’s sports.
Spain has said she is still under contract part-time at ESPN, where she hosted national radio shows and appeared on Around the Horn, SportsCenter and Highly Questionable over the years. Swoopes currently hosts Queens Of the Court with Jordan Robinson for Audacy and the WNBA. She is a Basketball Hall of Famer. Stubbs is an ESPN tennis analyst and will cohost her show with Racquet magazine cofounder Caitlin Thompson. Alyn is a content creator and influencer who has partnered with Top Golf and FitBit. Williams has hosted content for Athletes Unlimited and Spotify and currently contributes to MSG Networks, SNY and NBC Sports.
“I’m thrilled about this next chapter with iHeart and the Women’s Sports Audio Network,” Williams told Awful Announcing. “When we talk about growing the women’s game, it starts with investment. I’m grateful for the opportunity to partner with them in launching my new weekly women’s basketball podcast. This collaboration is a big step forward in expanding the game’s influence and encouraging meaningful discussions among the women’s sports community.”
The network launches in partnership with Deep Blue, a content and marketing agency cofounded by WNBA legend Sue Bird.
“Women’s sports aren’t just having a moment, it is the moment. And yet women’s sports content continues to be difficult to find and difficult to buy,” said Deep Blue founder and CEO Laura Corrienti in a press release. “The Women’s Sports Audio Network aims to change that — providing an accessible platform for every fan, from the most casual to biggest of super fans, to be educated and entertained while expanding the aperture of investment opportunities for brands to reach and engage with a dialed-in women’s sports community.”
