iHeart Women’s Sports, the podcast network centered around Good Game with Sarah Spain in partnership with Deep Blue Sports + Entertainment, is expanding with several new shows throughout early 2025.
The company announced eight new podcasts covering a range of women’s sports that will launch between now and March. New hosts in the iHeart Women’s Sports network will include two-time World Cup champion Ashlyn Harris, two-time Women’s College World Series finalist turned MLB Network host A.J. Andrews, and WNBA star Lexie Brown.
The full slate of shows is as follows:
- Throttle Therapy with Katherine Legge
- Welcome to the Par-tee with Tisha Alyn
- Full Circle with Lexie Brown and Mariah Rose
- Wide Open with Ashlyn Harris
- Courtside with Deep Blue CEO Laura Correnti
- Quiet Please! with Mel Reid and Kira Dixon
- Hasta Abajo with Melissa Ortiz and Camilla Ramon
- Softball Podcast with AJ Andrews (working title)
Ad Week sports marketing reporter Jason Notte had several exclusive details in conjunction with the announcement.
According to Notte, the iHeart Women’s Sports network has had “nearly 3 million downloads ” since its launch in June. Good Game grew its audience by 130 percent in November and December.
“It is the only daily women’s sports podcast giving you both news on the sports happening right now and information about the leagues starting this year, interviews with athletes, coaches, and journalists,” Spain recently told Awful Announcing of her show. “I think the biggest difference between Good Game and the other coverage of women’s sports is our aim is to provide the connective tissue between the major events and games in the same way we have always covered men’s sports.”
iHeart counts DraftKings, Capitol One and Nissan among its major sponsors for the women’s sports network, Notte noted.
Driven by sponsorship revenue, audience growth and the continued uptick in viewership and engagement around women’s sports, iHeart is doubling down on its investment and expanding the network.
