The Bussin’ with the Boys empire is still growing, and former longtime NFL quarterback Chase Daniel is the latest new partner.

The podcast starring former NFL players Will Compton and Taylor Lewan has enjoyed a meteoric rise in a very short period of time. In January 2025, Compton and Lewan left Barstool Sports to go out on their own with a FanDuel sponsorship deal. But they have only continued to rise from there, thanks to a deal with ESPN before the start of the 2025 football season, which has led to regular appearances on Get Up.

Now ahead of the 2026 football season, the arrow is still pointing upwards. Bussin’ with the Boys will launch a new ESPN college football show all their own with Josh Pate. Now they are teaming up with another ESPN colleague for a brand-new show on their own platform.

College football and NFL analyst Chase Daniel is teaming up with the BWTB crew to launch a new Sunday NFL show called The First Read that will break down all the day’s action. Daniel will also be bringing his film breakdown of quarterback play in the NFL to Bussin’ as well.

“I’m officially teaming up with @BussinWTB this NFL season,” Daniel shared in a social media post. “Introducing THE FIRST READ: my brand-new Sunday NFL show with Bussin’ With The Boys. Every Sunday, we’re breaking down the biggest games, quarterbacks, storylines, and moments from around the league, giving you a former QB’s perspective on everything that happened that weekend. Bussin’ With The Boys will also be the new exclusive partner of my show THE BREAKDOWN, where we’ll continue going inside the film & breaking down QB play at a level you won’t get anywhere else.”

Like Compton and Lewan, Daniel has also seen his profile rise significantly in the last couple of years. The quarterback was a star at the University of Missouri, leading the Tigers to their best seasons in modern history. He then went on to a lengthy career as one of the NFL’s top backup quarterbacks. And, as we’ve seen many times over, those jobs sometimes make for the best television analysts.

Chase Daniel joined ESPN in 2025 alongside BWTB, and this year he’ll be part of the main SEC Nation set and calling Thursday Night Football college football games. The rise of Daniel, Pate, and Bussin‘ With The Boys represents a new generation of voices covering both the college and pro game, and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see them all continue their upward rise from here.
