Former WWE champion Ettore “Big E” Ewen will appear on a different program on the Peacock streaming service as he’s been cast in the new original comedy series Laid.
Per Deadline, Ewen is one of eight guest stars announced to join the new show, including Andre Hyland (Barry), Olivia Holt (Totally Killer), David Denman (The Office), Finneas O’Connell, Chloe Fineman (SNL), Indya Moore (Pose), and John Early (Would it Kill You to Laugh).

Ewen hasn’t wrestled for WWE since early 2022 when he was involved in an accident during a match on Smackdown and suffered a devastating neck injury. That injury has kept the multi-time Tag Team Champion and Triple Crown Champion on the shelf since.
Ewen provided commentary on WWE’s Premium Live Event kickoff shows on several occasions. Most recently, he did so during WrestleMania XL this past April in Philadelphia.

“Laid follows a woman who finds out her former lovers are dying in unusual ways and must go back through her sex timeline to confront her past to move forward,” says Deadline.
This is an exciting new role for Ewen though, as he begins another chapter in his life. He’ll obviously have plenty of support behind him from his WWE fraternity. A fan favorite thanks in part to his charisma and sense of humor, Big E could ride this guest role into something bigger soon enough.
