Lyndon Byers, who enjoyed a 10-year NHL career mostly with the Boston Bruins and transitioned into a radio career after his playing days, passed away.
Byers passed away on Friday, as revealed by his wife, Annie, on Saturday.

The Bruins issued a statement where they acknowledged his role in the team’s 1988 and 1990 trips to the Stanley Cup Final, as well as his radio career.
A son of Nipawan, Saskatchewan, Lyndon became a true Bostonian and we will miss him dearly,” the statement said in part. “He is forever a part of our Bruins family. Our thoughts are with his wife, Annie, and son, Will, during this very difficult time.”

As news of his passing broke, Byers was fondly remembered.
