Jon Hamm has made it well known that he’s a die-hard fan of the St. Louis Blues. With his team in town to play the LA Kings, Hamm paid a visit to the Fox Sports Midwest booth to talk some Blues hockey. Instead of the usual awkward celebrity interview, Hamm sounded like a natural and well-versed in hockey.
His analysis of the game, such as his thoughts on the Blues’ goaltending situation following a lengthy winning streak, is right on the money. His color commentary was smooth, direct, and accurate. He fit right in with the strong commentary team of John Kelly and Darren Pang.

He even made a seamless transition to call Ivan Barbashev’s goal that gave the Blues a 4-0 lead.

Is there anything that Hamm can’t do?
In all seriousness, he sounds extremely comfortable in the booth and undoubtedly has a wealth of hockey knowledge. He could definitely fall back on some kind of color commentary role should he want to take some time away from acting.
