Charles Barkley drops f-bomb in interview at Game 2 of the 2024 Stanley Cup Photo Credit: Sportsnet

Game 2 of the 2024 Stanley Cup Final featured an appearance from TNT’s Charles Barkley, who made his rounds with a number of media outlets at the event covering the game. Unfortunately, he made a big error when it came to his interview with Sportsnet, accidentally dropping an f-bomb while analyzing the series thus far.

Barkley started things off by appearing on the ESPN on ABC broadcast of the game during the first intermission break alongside Steve Levy, Mark Messier, and P.K. Subban.

During this appearance, he offered some hockey analysis but was largely asked about his future at TNT. Steve Levy even did his very best to recruit Barkley over to ESPN for their NBA coverage.

Then came his interview with Sportsnet in the second intermission following the second period, which was more about the actual action on the ice first and foremost. Barkley was perhaps a bit too excited to offer his analysis of the series, dropping an f-bomb while praising Panthers goalie Sergei Bobrovsky.

“Well, they played great in Game 1 but they didn’t win,” said Barkley. “(Sergei) Bobrovsky was f****** amazing. Oops, sorry. I’m sorry. He was freaking amazing. I apologize to y’all kids at home. He was freaking amazing. But you know, the Oilers man, they have been amazing. I picked them at the start of the playoffs. But the Panthers have been amazing, so I’m looking forward to the third period.

There obviously wasn’t any ill will in this f-bomb from Barkley. But it’s still a pretty funny mistake that he may have some issues living down.
