Was Sunday’s game the last that Tyreek Hill will play for the Miami Dolphins? According to the star receiver, it’s more likely than not.
Hill played sparingly in the game while nursing a wrist injury. He suggested that if the Kansas City Chiefs were more competitive with the Denver Broncos, he might have played more. As the media session progressed, it became clearer that Hill was not happy with how things went for the team this year. Hill was then asked what his message to the team was heading into the offseason.
“I don’t even know, bro,” he said. “This is my first time I haven’t been in the playoffs, man. I mean, for me, like I said, I just gotta do what’s best for me and my family. If that’s here, if that’s — wherever the case may be. I’m finna open that door for myself, dawg. I’m opening the door. Like — like — I’m out, bro. You know? It was great playing here. But at the end of the day, I gotta do what’s best for my career. ‘Cause I’m too much of a competitor to be just out there.”

When asked if it meant he was thinking about leaving, Hill struggled for a reply, shrugged and walked away. He did seemingly say “yes” once he got off camera.
Hill is under contract for another season but there is a potential out following the 2025 season. His salary means that a trade would be tough — but it is doable. Will Hill still feel this way when he gets a little more distance from the end of a disappointing season? The answer to that may also tell us how likely an offseason move is.
