Aaron Rodgers helped the New York Jets end their losing streak Thursday night, but he met his toughest adversary during the postgame in Ryan Fitzpatrick.
Rodgers and the Jets beat the Houston Texans 21-13 on Thursday Night Football, a feel-good win after five straight losses sparked questioning about whether it was time for the polarizing quarterback to be benched. But after the game, Rodgers finally joined the Thursday Night Football postgame show hosted by his friend Charissa Thompson alongside analysts Tony Gonzalez, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Andrew Whitworth, and Richard Sherman.
But it was Fitzpatrick who recently took issue with Rodgers. And it was Fitzpatrick who asked an important question while dressed up as Rodgers’ former teammate Aaron Jones. “I was pretty critical when you called out Mike Williams on the red line,” Fitzpatrick admitted while sitting next to Rodgers. “Are you mad at me?”

Aaron Rodgers wouldn’t say yes or no to Ryan Fitzpatrick, but his ignorance implied the latter. “What’d you say?” Rodgers asked, garnering a laugh from the rest of the set.
“I said why did you point the finger at poor Mike Williams?” Fitzpatrick told Rodgers.
After a Monday Night Football loss to the Buffalo Bills earlier this season, Rodgers blamed his game-losing interception on Williams during his postgame press conference, telling reporters that the wide receiver ran the wrong route. Fitzpatrick later called Rodgers out, questioning why the future Hall-of-Famer can’t “shoulder all the blame in the media and then get behind closed doors with Mike Williams.”
“I love Mike and we talked it out for sure,” Rodgers told Fitzpatrick Thursday night before playfully acknowledging he has no issue with Fitzpatrick calling him out. “You can say whatever you want, you’re pushing your brand… you’re all over the TV now.”
“It’s great,” Fitzpatrick said. “I love the attention.”
But no one told Aaron Rodgers about the cayenne pepper joke Fitzpatrick made earlier in the broadcast. Maybe they’ll hash it out the next time Rodgers is on Thursday Night Football, if there is a next time.
