Richard Sherman Ryan Fitzpatrick playoffs Screengrab via Amazon

The Amazon Prime Video studio crew has slowly turned into one of the most entertaining in the football world over the course of the season. And they provided one more viral clip with Richard Sherman throwing a hilarious jab at Ryan Fitzpatrick.

It’s striking just how use we are to the streaming revolution that this year’s streaming exclusive playoff game on Amazon Prime Video between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens hardly caused a blip, unlike the uproar that NBC received last year for putting a game behind a paywall at Peacock.

Part of that could be because we’re used to seeing the NFL on Amazon Prime Video since they televise Thursday Night Football every week, and we’ve gotten used to its various cast of characters.

As Ryan Fitzpatrick has shown throughout the year, he’s willing to go all in for some levity and laughs. But this time, he was on the receiving end as his Amazon teammate Richard Sherman got in this parting shot on the streamer’s postgame show over his lack of playoff success.

Infamously, Ryan Fitzpatrick retired from the NFL in 2022 with the most games played without a single playoff appearance. At least he’s still got his Harvard education and that great beard of his still.

On the other hand, Sherman won a Super Bowl with the Seattle Seahawks and became a household name thanks to his playoff performances. And Richard Sherman’s quick thinking and comedic timing briefly turned Ryan Fitzpatrick into Michael Crabtree for a brief moment in time on the Amazon set.
