If there’s one thing we all knew for sure, it was that many F-bombs would be dropped on Friday during the Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl Parade and subsequent celebration.

Somehow, none of the local TV stations seemed ready for them.

The City of Brotherly Love was in a very loving mood Friday, celebrating the Eagles’ Super Bowl LIX victory over the Kansas City Chiefs last Sunday. Fans lined the streets of Downtown Philadelphia, and every TV station in town was on hand to record it all. Presumably, their censors were ready to dump the audio feed whenever an F-bomb or S-bomb appeared imminent. However, everyone always seemed to be a second too late.

Things got off to an inauspicious start when Eagles offensive lineman Landon Dickerson walked toward a Fox 29 reporter while high-fiving fans, grabbing the mic, and yelling, “ALL I GOTTA SAY IS GO F*CKING BIRDS!!!

“We apologize; Landon has had himself a few,” added one of the anchors back in the studio. This would become a common reprieve throughout the day.

You’d think censors would be ready the next time Dickerson got in front of a microphone, as he did when the team spoke directly with fans. Alas, they were still a step behind.

“I don’t even have words to describe how happy I am right now,” Dickerson said to the crowd of adoring Eagles fans. “After [2022], feeling that loss, I didn’t ever want to feel that sh*t again.”

Fox 29 tried to cut their feed, but they were a second late, leaving the studio anchor to try and clean up the mess.  Hilariously, as soon as they brought the feed back, Dickerson dropped another bomb.

The folks at NBC 10 didn’t fare much better.

Dickerson wasn’t the only Phill player dropping F-bombs. Wide receiver A.J. Brown had one of his own, and it’s truly shocking they didn’t see this one coming before it happened.

“They said I was a diva. They said all I care about was stats,” said Brown. “You gonna get all those things wrong about me, but one thing you’re gonna get right… I’m a f*cking champion!”

There were also quite a few NSFW fan moments during the parade, though none summed up the day for local TV stations and anchors quite like this one.

This sums up the day for Philadelphia local news anchors.

“F*ck Patrick Mahomes!”

“Alrighty. And we apologize for that, again, live TV, things happen, y’know?

“I didn’t even hear it, that’s how much I’m used to it.”

To be fair to everyone involved, it’s not like the children of Philadelphia have never heard these words before. In fact, they were probably using them themselves Sunday night.
