The New England Patriots have undergone many changes the past few seasons, going from perennial Super Bowl contenders to last place in their division in 2023, yet one constant for the team and its fans has been WBZ-FM 98.5 The Sports Hub.
The Beasley Media Group station has broadcast Patriots games since 2009, and thanks to a new multiyear agreement announced Thursday, that relationship will continue for years to come.
98.5 The Sports Hub will broadcast Patriots games through at least 2033 as the team’s flagship station.
“The Patriots are a religion in New England,” Beasley Media Group executive Mary Menna said (via Patriots.com). “We are honored to continue broadcasting the games to our fans for at least the next decade. The Kraft family, the Patriots staff and the entire team are such amazing partners.”
Patriots VP of corporate sponsorship sales Murray Kohl cited WBZ broadcasters Bob Socci and Scott Zolak (a former QB for the team) for their work on Pats broadcasts.
“Patriots fans throughout New England have come to rely on the sound quality, reach and overall coverage that 98.5 The Sports Hub has delivered since they launched 15 years ago,” Kohl said. “Bob Socci and Scott Zolak are perfectly paired to deliver all the action to Patriots fans throughout the region. We are happy to extend this partnership for another 10 years and hope it will continue for decades to come.”
The station will continue airing pre-and post-game shows three hours before and after every game. Broadcasts will also continue to be available online at 985thesportshub.com or on mobile devices through The Sports Hub app.
