Marshawn Lynch Seattle Seahawks photographer Screengrab via NFL X

Former Pro Bowl running back Marshawn Lynch was famous for his Beast Mode runs as one of the best power backs of the modern era. And it looks like he is bringing that same energy to the sidelines as a credentialed photographer.

Lynch is following in the footsteps of other star athletes like Randy Johnson and Ken Griffey Jr. in covering sports from the other side of the camera. We saw Griffey’s skill as a photographer earlier this year when he captured a fantastic shot of Rory McIlroy completing the grand slam at The Masters.

The Seahawks legend was all smiles on the sidelines as NFL cameras captured him before Seattle’s preseason opener against the Las Vegas Raiders.

But unlike those famous photographers from the baseball world, Marshawn Lynch still has a little bit of Beast Mode in him. Current Seahawks running back George Holani scored a touchdown in the first quarter and ended up right in Lynch’s corner of the endzone. And unlike 99% of photographers who would run out of the way or get ran over, Lynch held his ground and gave Holani a forearm in the back.

Protecting his equipment? A playful shove? Getting caught up in the moment and wanting to be subbed in for the next drive so that he could run over the entire Raiders defense himself? All of those things are possible with Marshawn Lynch. Nothing came of it and it could be chalked off as a fun, playful moment or maybe Lynch just wanted everyone to know that he’s still got it when it comes to his physical play.

But in all seriousness, the NFL probably won’t look too kindly on one of its photographers giving a shove to an active player. Whatever the NFL has to say about it, let’s just hope that Marshawn Lynch doesn’t get fined.
