Kurt Warner maybe have enjoyed a lot of success in his NFL career, but he was unsuccessful in his quest to say the word “success” on NFL GameDay Morning.
While previewing the Green Bay Packers Week 4 matchup against the Minnesota Vikings Sunday, Warner attempted to mention returning quarterback Jordan Love and his tendency to have “success” in beating the blitz.

“They’ve been getting away with the blitz, they’ve been having a lot of sex… success against the blitz,” Warner quickly clarified. “Sorry about that. Success against the blitz.”
Secret’s out. It wasn’t just “sex” that’s been helping the Packers, it was that “they’ve been having a lot of sex.” And as if the slip of the tongue from Warner wasn’t funny enough, the reactions from his NFL GameDay Morning co-hosts Rich Eisen, Steve Mariucci and Gerald McCoy took this clip to another level.
“That’s why they’re winning,” McCoy interjected, prompting, Warner to add, “I know.” But McCoy wasn’t crediting Green Bay’s success against the blitz, he was crediting the lot of sex they’ve apparently been having.
With Warner seeming ready to move on after quickly recognizing and apologizing for the “sex” gaffe,” his co-hosts were less apt to let that happen. Eisen, Mariucci and McCoy couldn’t hide their laughter as Warner was forced to sit there and think about what he just said.
“That’s alright, that’s how you get the next-gen,” Eisen said to note Warner’s mistake was a worthwhile one. “That’s how you get a next gen stat.”
“Sometimes you just gotta keep going, you know?” Warner added as he tossed his hands up in the air. “You can’t win them all… sorry for blowing up that segment.”
No apologies necessary.
