For the Cincinnati Bengals in 2024, the night is darkest just before dawn. And Joe Burrow shall rise again.

Well, Burrow is playing some of the best football of his life — and yet, the team holds a 4-8 record entering Week 14. There’s little for the Bengals to hold their hats on this season, and while Burrow has played at an MVP level, it’ll be all for naught if Cincinnati can’t turn things around during the season’s final stretch.

But not everything about this year is a waste.

Thanks to Hard Knocks, we’ve learned more intimate details about Burrow’s personal life — and how he spends his money. And if you’re a fan of Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy, you might find yourself a little jealous of Burrow — or at least, in theory.

Burrow revealed to Tee Higgins and Ja’Marr Chase on HBO’s in-season AFC North version of the show that he purchased a Batmobile. Earlier this year, Warner Bros. announced that it would sell 10 “fully functional but not street legal” replicants of the iconic vehicle for $3 million.

Apparently, Burrow is one of those who purchased a fully functional Batmobile. Still, he’s not owning up to it—at least not publicly, even if it’s available for public consumption on HBO and the NFL’s social media accounts.

“Have I told you I bought a batmobile? I don’t get it for a year, but I bought it,” Burrow said.

Burrow joked with Chase that he should go all-in, buy the full gear — armor included — and show up to every game wearing a full Batsuit.

“I’d go crazy on Halloween,” he added.

But as far as talking about it in the media—in front of actual reporters, not Hard Knocks cameras—Burrow is pretending that conversation never happened.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Burrow deadpanned when asked about his decision to buy a Batmobile.

“That’s the answer you get,” he added with a chuckle.

Perhaps Burrow won’t publicly talk about it until he officially has his Batmobile in tow. That said, the 4-8 Bengals have much, much more to worry about right now.
