Few things are as priceless as a Jameis Winston interview.

And few experiences rival a football game in the snow.

While we’ve seen a handful of snow-filled games this January and even fewer Winston interviews, the Cleveland Browns quarterback took us for another wild ride during his recent appearance on They Call it Late Night with Jason Kelce.

Winston couldn’t contain his joy in a snow-filled studio, expressing how “grateful” he was to play in the snow again recently with his children in New Orleans. But for NFL fans, nothing compares to his iconic performance against the Pittsburgh Steelers on a snow-covered battlefield or his unforgettable interview with Amazon Prime Video’s Kaylee Hartung.

The latter, of course, is the one he was hinting at.

“I was so happy to be grateful,” he quipped in Ryan Clark’s direction on Kelce’s late-night show.

His interview with Hartung, in which she asked him about the weather conditions prior to that fateful Thursday Night Football matchup, still resonates.

“I am so happy and grateful that the lord has blessed me to play in some snow,” he said. “To be in true football weather in Cleveland, Ohio, at Huntington Bank Field today, to get him to glory — it’s a beautiful day… It’s magical.”

Magical, indeed. Perhaps iconic, too.

“It was iconic, man. Obviously, I was grateful to be in the snow,” Winston told Kelce. “But, growing up in Alabama, you don’t see snow often. So, getting a chance to get with the big dogs and be covered in snow and score a touchdown — a running one at that — for me, I mean, it was the best thing ever.”

Winston, who had never played in weather below 40 degrees prior to that Week 12 showdown with the Steelers, led the Browns to a gritty 24-19 victory in those treacherous conditions.

“Instantly, when I woke up in the morning,g I got a video from my wife of my boys out there, eating icicles,” Winston said, tongue out and all. “So, instantly, once it got out there and it started snowing, I was trying to find the best icicle to eat. I was like, ‘Man, I’m about to eat this snow.’ But it wasn’t wet. And that’s what I thought it was going to be. I thought it was going to be like wet. I thought It was going to be sticky. Ain’t know if it was going to be sticking to my cleats, sticking to my shoulder pads. I didn’t know what to expect.”

But with Winston, you almost have to expect the unexpected.

“But, actually, it was peaceful, man,” he explained. “Because if you were watching the game, first, there was no snow. And then, it just started dumping on us, man. I’m just like, ‘Oh my gosh, I’m really in this snow,’ and I’ve got nowhere to go.”
