While the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday to advance to the NFC Championship, there is cause for concern regarding the health of Jalen Hurts. During a postgame interview with NBC’s Melissa Stark, Hurts would not talk about the injury in any detail.
Hurts suffered a knee injury in the third quarter of Sunday’s win. As he was being tackled, his left got pinned under his body. Hurts was given a knee brace and remained in the game but was clearly limited. This was apparent later in the quarter when he was sacked for a safety, despite seemingly having plenty of time to either avoid the oncoming rush or throw the ball away.
So when the quarterback was interviewed by Melissa Stark after the game, that was an obvious question.
“You went into the medical tent, you came out with a brace,” Stark said. “How is this gonna affect you next week?”
“I’m sure I’ll get asked about it later, I don’t know if I can answer right now,” Hurts said. “But I’m gonna go enjoy this win with my teammates.”
“Are you OK?” Stark asked.
Hurts’ answer to Stark’s follow-up question was just as evasive.

“I finished the game,” Hurts said, effectively ending the interview.
