The Houston Texans’ Twitter account asked a simple question: How will the Texans score their first touchdown tonight?
The poll seemed like a harmless effort ahead of Thursday night’s game against the New England Patriots. However, as the night went on, this poll turned into nothing but scrutiny for the Texans and their Twitter account.
The Texans lost 27-0 to the Patriots, meaning of course that they did not score a touchdown, or any points at all. As a result, the poll went south quickly, and the trolls were out in full force.

Unfortunately for the Texans, this question was put on a tee for those like Freezing Cold Takes. However, it is kind of funny.
The Texans didn’t think that way. They quickly deleted the tweet. Even though Houston thought it was sly, Twitter proved it wasn’t.

Texans fans had the right idea early on. Houston features superstar DeAndre Hopkins and impressive rookie Will Fuller at wide receiver. Not to mention, the Texans are paying a lot of money for quarterback Brock Osweiler. Unfortunately for Houston, things were bad and a touchdown — or points of any kind — weren’t possible Thursday.
After that game, it’s unlikely the Texans will be doing a poll like this again anytime soon.
