Cameras catch Eagles fan asking Nick Sirianni ‘What the f*** is wrong with you?’

While Sunday’s Week 3 game between the Philadelphia Eagles and New Orleans Saints was in New Orleans, there were plenty of Eagles’ fans in the Superdome. After one play, cameras picked up one Philadelphia fan asking Nick Sirianni and the Eagles an important question.

“What the f*** is wrong with you?”

The play in question came during Philadelphia’s first possession in the second half. The Eagles faced a third-and-six from the New Orleans 37. Philadelphia lined up in the shotgun and handed the ball off to Saquon Barkley — who gained only three yards.

After the run, Fox cameras panned around the Superdome, showing frustrated Eagles fans. That included one fan asking the aforementioned question. The fan could not be heard. But as was the case with Tennessee Titans coach Brian Callahan in Week 2, reading his lips wasn’t particularly hard.

By this point, frustration had long been mounting. Philadelphia’s first-half possessions resulted in a punt, interception, fumble and turnover on downs. The turnover on downs was confusing as the Eagles elected to go for it on a fourth-and-one from the New Orleans 15, eschewing what would have been a short field goal attempt to tie the game. And while the Eagles have been consistently aggressive on fourth downs during Sirianni’s tenure, that decision was particularly baffling. Even with a conversion, Philadelphia would likely have had only one play to get the touchdown before kicking a field goal at the end of the half.

The first possession of the second half didn’t end any better than the last one of the first half did.

After the Barkley run, the Eagles faced a fourth-and-three from the New Orleans 34. While that’s well within the range of kicker Jake Elliott — especially indoors, Sirianni again opted to go for it. Once again, the Eagles were denied.

“I don’t think he got enough on third down to make that fourth down worth going for. That’s one decision I’m not on board with.”

So, while the fan’s question made sense when he asked it, it made even more sense one play later.
