Colin Cowherd insists he doesn’t talk about politics on The Herd, but lately, he’s been more than a little curious about the 2024 presidential campaign between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump.
So much so that he took a moment to chide Philadelphia Eagles fans for focusing too much on the team and not enough on their important role as a swing state.
While analyzing Philadelphia’s disappointing loss to the Atlanta Falcons on Monday Night Football, Cowherd prodded Eagles fans to look at the polls and ignore the football.
“I’m actually concerned about the state of Pennsylvania,” Cowherd said. “You do realize, if you look at all the polling, you’re going to decide the presidential election. We need adults in the room here. Not throwing a tantrum every time you lose a football game.”

With 19 votes in the electoral college, Pennsylvania is undoubtedly important during election season. Harris announced her vice president pick during a rally in Philadelphia, the first debate between Harris and Trump took place in Philadelphia, and the governor of Pennsylvania was a top candidate to be VP.
But even Cowherd has to know the Birds matter more than ballots to Philly sports faithful.
