On Tuesday, the NFL on CBS released its announcer assignments for the first three weeks of the 2025 NFL season.
As Aaron Rodgers and Justin Fields face their respective former teams, it’ll also mark a first for CBS. The Jets-Steelers 1 p.m. ET matchup will feature the booth of Ian Eagle, J.J. Watt, and sideline reporter Evan Washburn. Watt, who replaced Charles Davis in CBS’s No. 2 booth, is making his debut for the network as an analyst. He previously worked with Eagle and Nate Burleson as part of Netflix’s coverage of the Steelers-Chiefs on Christmas Day.
So, Watt will be calling his second Steelers game in as many attempts, which is notable because his younger brother, T.J., just signed a three-year, $123 million contract extension with Pittsburgh, which makes him the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history.
From MetLife Stadium, we go to Indianapolis, where the quartet of Andrew Catalon, Jason McCourty, Charles Davis, and A.J. Ross will be calling Dolphins-Colts. Davis, who is the eventual successor to Gary Danielson, will replace Tiki Barber for the upcoming season.
Spero Deres, Adam Archuleta, and Aditi Kinkhabwala will be on the call for Raiders-Patriots. At the same time, Tom McCarthy, Ross Tucker, Logan Ryan, and Tiffany Blackmon will round out the 1 p.m. ET window.
The 4:25 p.m. ET window is reserved for Jim Nantz, Tony Romo, and Tracy Wolfson, who will call the Lions-Packers game, the first Game of the Week of the season. Additionally, Kevin Harlan, Trent Green, and Melanie Collins will call the Texans-Rams in the same window.

CBS also announced Week 2’s slate, which includes Nantz, Romo, and Wolfson calling the Bills-Jets game, and Eagle, Watt, and Washburn calling the Rams-Titans game.

Week 3 will feature the top two booths remaining in the 1 p.m. ET window, with Nantz, Romo, and Wolfson calling the Bengals-Vikings game, and Eagle, Watt, and Washburn calling the Steelers-Patriots game.

CBS is expected to announce additional weekly broadcast crews as the season progresses.
