The New York Giants pulled one of the biggest upsets of Week 5 with a win over the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday. But Giants head coach Brian Daboll was in no mood to celebrate in the locker room after the game. At least not publically.

Giants wide receiver Wan’Dale Robinson, who was a big factor in the game with the team’s first touchdown of the game, took to Instagram Live to broadcast him and his teammates celebrating their big victory.

But it was short-lived, as head coach Brian Daboll quickly walked into the frame and told Robinson to “stop posting that s***”. Seconds later, Robinson ended the live video.

It’s perhaps not all that much of a surprise to see Daboll have this reaction to seeing Robinson go live. Over the years, we’ve seen countless NFL players slip up on an Instagram Live feed and show or say something that ends up getting them or their teammates in hot water.

Daboll also comes from the Bill Belichick coaching tree. And while Belichick now finds himself as a media member with an Instagram account of his own, he notoriously ran a tight ship when it came to social media in the locker room during his tenure with the New England Patriots.

It’s hard to fault Robinson for wanting to share his excitement about the win with Giants fans. But Daboll, who has had his own run-ins with the media as head coach of the Giants, clearly believes that it is better to have his players keep locker room activities strictly in the locker room.
